About the Panel
This panel focuses on recent reforms to the Brazilian Bankruptcy Act, inspired by the US Bankruptcy Code. These changes address key deficiencies in debtor-in-possession financing and international insolvency, aiming to enhance the credibility of Brazil's insolvency system. The panel will explore the implications of these amendments, including their potential to stimulate a new finance market and improve cross-border restructuring regulations. Additionally, it will analyze the impact on labor creditors' rights and mechanisms for enforcing these rights in foreign bankruptcy proceedings, providing valuable insights into the evolving landscape of Brazilian Insolvency Law.
